Mr. Kayton will have completed his Series 65 licensing in Q1 2014, which will help with the pursuits of Studio Ventures as an Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) of treating investments into start-ups as an asset class, and he may also take on clients seeking financial advice about start-up equities or other related investment or asset planning objectives.
SVC Funds
Studio Ventures Capital (SVC) Fund I is active and only accepting ᾿friends and family῀ into a small fund where only $25K or $50K web 3 venture studio investments into the fund are accepted (accredited investors only as well). The Fund will eventually grow in total size during 2014, making at least ten (10) investments in start-ups. Start-ups as an investment class is the management philosophy. There is no management fee or carry on Fund I; the goal is to take advantage of the incredible deal flow at hand, share that with those I know who don’t have access to the deal flow I do, all while going through the steps administratively on the mechanics and operations of an equity capital fund. SVC Fund II will be much larger, is in planning stages now, and may be combined with Fund III of the Investors Collaborative depending on certain factors at play.
